Religion gone Haywire

                                                       Religion gone Haywire
                                                          By: Sangita Bhatt

How much is too much of a religion. How many gods do you really need in your daily living. I know one thing, all the religion and the gods have been unable to get me a decent living in this god forsaken country. Where most of the religious causes and the " good samaritan" work is carried out by the few businesses who work only for profit motives. The will to "HELP" out is purely based on enslaving another persons freedom and taking away their individuality. My present health problems are a fallout of this mad religious race going on, among'st the successful businesses and employers. Blame it on the GOD. The Law is on your side. I used to think that it was used by men to keep control over their family and the WOMAN. But this one is an eye opener. Even the women are using this religious network to control and enslave other women and children.

Are these religious groups not working on the same MLM principles? If you are following one faith group, they take an interest in you. But if you decide to go on our own, that is, if you are not a part of a religious group, or do not completely identify with one faith group, your chances of being a success in doing your own thing becomes limited. Sometimes impossible. You can keep on trying, but get no success. Who can you blame for it, your fault for not choosing what the majority are following; probably it is your stars to blame. So the reason a person is with a group, or a religion is more monetary, sometimes survival, or any kind of material success. Only sometimes you would get members in the group, who are there because they belong to that particular group, have it in them to be with ONLY that group, faith or belief. Such people are there because that is their natural choice.

I have personally travelled through different faith groups, since it was their families who were supporting us. Each time the study was to see if i belonged to that group, and weather I could give up my current beliefs. It is because of being receptive to the varied groups, that I learnt the variety of beliefs that are pursued by different people from around the globe, and it is surprising as to why would they want me to change mine, since each of them have something to offer and lacking in something. There is no one perfect religion. Most of them have yet to open up to empower women equally to men. Some faith groups have religious female leaders, female only religious group. But in some cultures women do not get to certain religious ranks, as do men of the same faith. Each one has something to offer, and mainly has evolved based on the selfish needs of its followers. But it would be foolish to follow any blindly, as not any of them is perfect and ultimate in itself. Belonging to anyone should not be the reason to cause problems for those who are not one of them. Probably they do not need what is LIFE  and DEATH to some. Nobody is the ultimate deal. You could pick and choose from them to help evolve yourself into a positive, enlightened and purposeful person, than becoming some kind of restrictive cult following, which stifles peoples minds and social goals.

What one experiences in daily life is, that they are born with a set of ideas in their head. But as they grow, the surrounding environment of their families and neighborhood fills them up gradually, detailing them into their individual behaviour and lifestyle. One belief gets hold of them as long as it is new, not known; until it has served its purpose, or is found lacking. In this way, one moves on from one belief and faith to another. It could only stop, when you develop the understanding of your own weaknesses and strengths; this is a point where you should be able to pull the plug and say "STOP". You have found yourself, that is what all faiths are supposed to do. Allow you to know yourself, help you develop yourself, not make you live some kind of life where, you have to run to the priest, once you run into trouble, again go back, again get pulled into some setback; again seek help. This cycle goes on and on. You run from priests, gurus, psychiatrists, psychics, witches, wizards..... and so on. There is no one religion that has it all. Each should be understood in the context of its beliefs, and what it gives to the human community, and how it empowers common individual.
