Have moved
........... Sangita Bhatt.
........... Sangita Bhatt.
Was there, left some things
behind,
Some faces, whose names would
be missed.
Some happy losses, some
treasures ditched.
Numbers missing, changed
Messages not received
Appointments unattended.
Found...
A new paradise;
A name attached to a place,
Another number;
Everything full of
possibilities,
Got some treasures, know some
faces,
This is it I say, this ...looks
like it...
Get my account, now I be;
Get my mail, my boxes shipped,
now I be,
My young ones change their
grades and school.
They will have friends and
neighborhood.
Couple months later, I found a contact
number,
Of a known; said "..glad
to talk.. Since I have moved"...
Have left all faces, memories
be;
Young ones gone to theirs,
Grown up and all.
Number changed, mail is missed.
Treasures taken, Messages
unreceived.
Accounts are closed or have
shrunk.
Boxes gone, there probably is a
trunk.
After having my fill, once.
I open the trunk, memories be;
I draw it all on paper and Ink.
Tell it all, whatever I think.
Mailman, stops by, and we exchange;
Messages received and postage
mailed.
My grown up calls, will be there for
the meal
I cook sometimes, sometimes they
deal.
It took an age, to see my seat.
Have a sore back, and aching
feet.
Destined to stand, fought to
be,
Moved instead, and did what was
to be done.
All those banks with closed
accounts, are closed and gone;
Places be, houses be;
But you belong......,
when you touch some hearts,
Not with needles, not with blood,
With compassion, and ready ear to
listen.
